Permission to join the Cast Out
Hello everyone!
I have been occasionally lurking this forum for a couple of years; I already know some of you by earlier discussions back on the Dune Novels BBS, but, Giudichar Mantene, the rules of the Sietch must be obeyed, so here is my presentation.
My name is Luca, and I'm currently webmaster of DuneItalia.com. I first came in contact with the Duniverse when I was 12 years old, playing the first Dune videogame by Cryo. I then watched the Lynch's movie, and during high school I read the Chronicles. I was really astonished by the deepness and richness in detail of the Universe created by Herbert, and I'm sure it has been (and continues to be!) an essential part of my life. In the subsequent years, I also read the new books by BH and KJA, but, as I continued in my reading, I progressively realised what they were trying to do (milking Frank Herbert's Legacy for the sake of $$$olaris! ). I concluded they were the worst authors to continue the Dune Saga, and soon after, seeing also the censorship which reigned over DuneNovels, I stopped posting in the "official" forum.
I have just begun my third reading of the Chronicles (in order to start a new Wiki on Dune Italia), and I thought this was the best place to discuss any insight I could think of with people who share my same vision of Herbert's works.
I hope you will accept my water, and forgive me for my (not so) occasional grammatical errors.
Rymoah

If not, these guys will tear you to pieces. Just don't make any sudden movements and keep your hands and feet away from their mouths.

One does not ask to join the Cast Out. One proves his worth as a Fremen. If he claims to be Fremen no Fremen will deny this from his word, only his action.

yeah it's nice to see someone gets that thirst business right
And welcome twice welcome to you Rymoah, as it has been said you don't need permission to join but you'll need to prove your worth to stay (don't worry they let me stay so you should have your chances)

I think he doesn't need to prove anything to anyone. Dune Italia is the largest Dune Board in Europe. That's all I need to know.Ampoliros wrote:One proves his worth as a Fremen.

He was with us in the beginning, before they denied us (well, most of us) the Hajj! He is of the Ichwan Bedwine, akhaka w-akhi, your brother and my brother. He has nothing to prove to anyone!

After reading your last posts, my only possible thought is "Kull Wahad!". Thanks again everybody for your welcome. I think I found here the best possible people outside Italy to discuss about Dune.
