When this poor girl tries chatting with banned members, does Byron ever tell her that they're banned, or is he continuing the dishonesty by saying nothing?SandRider wrote:» All Things Dune » What did you not like about the 1984 (sic) // all today

More idiocy...
Actually, when the appendix says and Island of Earth, it probably means...? Come on... Any 2nd graders want to answer this one for Bel?Bel Moulay wrote:When the appendix says an ISLAND of Earth it could possibly symbolize the moon of Earth or even an old chunk of the planet or an ancient satellite/space station.
In other words, Arnoldo, you are saying that you think a 'fully machined society' must have existed, simply because of human nature?Arnoldo wrote:Human nature being what it is it would be surprising whether intentionally or unintentionally (due to human error) a fully, or close to fully machined society never existed.
I guess that means _every single fictional world you have ever heard of_ should include a backstory with evil AIs, too?
Fascinating idea... take Lord of the Rings, for instace:
Melkor was an evil, AI overlord and Sauron his semi-loyal crossdressing robotic henchman.

God, I feel dumber the more I read Arnoldo's drivel. Maybe English is not his/her first language, but he/she seems to have problems with expressing his/her thoughts. Or Arnoldo could just be a moron.Lundse wrote:Actually, when the appendix says and Island of Earth, it probably means...? Come on... Paul of Dune was so bad it gave me a seizure that dislocated both of my shoulders and prolapsed my anus.

I'm only saying the obvious.
That "girl" finds the movie good and bad at the same time, and didn't explain very well why she thinks that. That post shows the behavior of a anxious teenager, or a person who doesn't know how to express itself.

for another 4-6 weeks anyway - then I think I'm going back to work.
