How's about the Reno World Con in 2011? Renovation? Ill use my miles and get a few rooms. Whoever comes who is not too weird and doesn't fart too much in their sleep can stay. You just have to get there, and Southwest Airlines serves the city. Ill get some rooms. We can hit the buffets for sustenance.

We could even advertise and get some con people to show up too.

Man Reno is a dump. You get more than a mile away from the casinos and you will get Hepatitis C. Not umm...that that should discourage anyone...or anything.

I think someone around here lives in Reno, or there-abouts ....

And I vote for Atlanta - Freak's house would be appropriate for an OH Dune-Con.
If he's got a big enough yard, I could bring regimental tents ....

And I see no reason to ever leave the South again, so ....

this thread is now about Dune-Con.

I could be convinced of just about any location and August sounds pretty good to me. I've not been to a convention since 1987 so I'm not sure if we should have actual presentations, topics of discussion at certain times, or if we just get drunk and talk about how awesome Dune is.

I'd probably be down for this, the Great Convention. (wasn't that the name that was settled on over at DN?)

Did it ever get to the point of deciding a name over there? Didn't Myron try to shut down any con talk with his usual official HLP negativity?

The Leeches, I mean, Herberts haven't copyrighted "The Great Convention" yet, have they?
