Omphalos Book Reviews
Hi guys and gals,
Just a quick note to let everyone know that the latest version of the OBR has been released. We have finally figured out how to mate a blog to the existing software, so the front page interface has completely changed. All of the old functionality is still there. Just look at the links at the top of the page and you will find all the old stuff.
http://blog.omphalosbookreviews.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Ive also greatly expanded the back-end functionality so the thing just works differently now. I still have a lot to finish, and once I'm done with that I will start working on making the thing all purdy and nice to look at.
I think most of my on-line activity is going to migrate over there. Please feel free to comment whenever you like.
Thanks,
Omph

Glad your site is going so well. Just don't stay away from here too much.
What fear is there in the night?

Re: Omphalos Book Reviews
Thanks guys. Im not going anywhere. Jacurutu is Jacurutu and Ill always be here. There's really nothing else like it on the web. But I own all of these other redundant websites. Id like to winnow it down to T(A)U and the OBR only.
And now that I have a blog I think I can stop cross-posting all this stuff. Was beginning to feel like a two-bit shill there for a while.

Looking good Omphalos, has your old review site been shelved? I hope not as I'm not a fan of the blog layout, I'm an html traditionalist. hmmm, you did say something consolidating your sites.

Under the banner that says "Omphalos Book Reviews" are a few links that will take you to the "Browse" page and the "Tag Search" page. That stuff is still working, and since it really makes the site unique, it will never go away. We put in a ton of work on that search feature, and will continue to work on it.
I was never really crazy about the blog interface either, mainly because its so ubiquitous out there on the web. But there really is nothing like a blog when it comes to connectivity. Its much easier to spread the word that you have a site when its in blog format, so we decided to bite the bullet and blend the sites.
Click around in the blog too. We just used the blog's CSS on the old website, so it should not seem too unfamiliar once you get past the home page.
