Well ... I liked it well enough at the time. :?

The Tardis was cool and the babe (whatever that one's name was) was hot.

Besides, I've always been a raving Anglophile. :D

I'm a total anglophile, but the only TV that the British ever did that was any good (besides the shows that American companies co-produce) was the Prisoner. I cannot stand anything else. Even the good American ones that came from British shows.

Speaking of British comedy, my friend introduced me to The IT Crowd yesterday... hilarity.

IT Crowd is good.

The last episode of the "The Young Ones" is the best single
comedy episode I've ever seen. (Well, maybe tied with Lucy
& Ethel working in the chocolate factory.)

Meanwhile...

Byron has yet to retract his idiotic posts on this topic or admit that he just might have misread what he quoted and taken it out of context.

I don't see how he could. Don't get me wrong, Byron is as much at fault as anyone could be on this "alien roads" bullshit and has completely misinterpreted Frank's writing in the most ridiculous manner possible. But there's too much at stake for him to admit he's in error. To do so would not only destroy the fragile defense he's built around himself, but it would also mean we must be right. The animosity between our site and his demands his ego never consider the possibility. Much in the same way KJA immaturely deals with his critics.

The poor reaction of the HLP to any criticism has only made them more and more wrong as time goes on. Kinda comforting if you happen to be right like we are :)

He's probably trying to come up with some type of Kevin-ish defense like calling everyone "anti-fans" something.

Apropo for people who consider them anti-writers.

JESUS EFFING KEE-RIST!
Bel Moulay wrote:Could he possibly be seeing into the future and these alien societies are the ones from the Scattering? It seems only the Lost Ones have a common respect for Leto II. In the old empire he's the Tyrant or Shaitan but the Lost Ones refer to him as Guldur and even in Ysai on Gammu there was a gang of children; products of the scattering that would go around throwing stones at people who didn't hail "Guldur" (Leto II)
NO, DUMBFUCK. READ THE DAMNED BOOK. HE'S LOOKING BACK INTO HIS OTHER MEMORY.

It says so in black and white.

My god, are these people really STUPID or what?

this whole thing has dissapointed me to no end.

I know y'all have dealt with the same thing before.
How do you keep your sanity intact? It's one thing
to repost their stupid shit over here and point out the
errors, if the pretards aren't lurking at this board,
but I went to great lenghts with the katee84
posts to state the facts clearly and concisely
and end the controversy, to no avail.

it took all my willpower and give-a-damn away.
fuck them.

I learned early in life that most people are stupid ... a lesson that has served me well for the better part of five decades. ;)

Facts don't matter to the Herberts (or Merritts) or to the idiots they have nurtured as their new fanbase.

If Byron had any sort of personal integrity, he would admit that he fucked up the interpretation of the "alien roads" passage by taking it out of context and issue a retraction. But he obviously doesn't, because he hasn't.

I hope the mere pittance he claims is all they get from all this is worth it.
