On the last hole, they're tied.

Dr. Beeper 2-puts, the Judge makes his in one.

Ty 2-puts and Danny Newnan makes his in one... with the help of Carl's esplosives...

This should mean the match is still tied, not a win for Danny and Ty.

Leto II is gone for good, except for OM. The "pearl" was just that; a miniscule portion of what Leto was, and not a compressed version of the whole. The pearl that the worms have do not make them Leto, or in any way similar to him.

The last of tonight's triple feature will be...

Blazing Saddles 30th Anniversary Edition

We'll take the Chinks and the Niggers but we don't want the Irish!

I actually spread it over two nights, ending yesterday. Laughed my head off at the first half, not so much last night.

I watched Monkey Business on Monday. Put the sheet up over the fireplace and fired up the projector so I could enjoy seeing Ginger Rogers and Marilyn Monroe in king sized Pontif-vision! I enjoyed the movie but was disapointed at the lack of lighters.

I guess the effects were cool enough. And it's hard to hate a movie with snow on Himalayas... but it's basically just a variation on "absolute power corrupts absolutely" combined with the loner misfit teen thang.

Not quite Carrie with testicles, but... you kinda get the idea? ;)

Is it enjoyable enough? I like how it looks like they're using practical effects.

Drive is good but it is not the action fest that some believe which is good in my mind.

Yeah... I don't regret seeing it in the theater. And I loved the final scene.

The effects were cool. Especially the flight stuff. It's just a little light on story. ;)

Yes, but then Al Czervik says something like, "Double or nothing he makes it!" That changes the bet and it's no longer about the match.

I ended up seeing Chronicle. True, it was light on story and it hit the familiar beats on teenagers and superpowers but I liked how the final fight resembled a temper tantrum. I thought it was keeping in character and made sense.

I meant that he didn't come off as some sort of mastermind. There was no coordination with his strikes, no real plan. He just lost his marbles and acted like a kid throwing his toys around.

He wouldn't be my first choice to end up with superpowers either. Creepy... Still, I wouldn't have minded seeing more mind-bullets.

Yeah... I guess that was another problem I had with it: it seemed like it ended awfully quick.

Or maybe it was just that I had to pee? ;)

Spielberg doing a war pic?

Nah, not a chance. I've never even seen Saving Ryan's Privates.
