Edit: IT IS HOT AS HELL HERE AGAIN THIS MORNING!

When I left Mito last night, there were banks of clouds moving in from the west, and by the time I got home, the moon just disappearing into more, so I figured it was going to be rainy today for sure.

Got up this morning and there wasn't cloud one in the sky.

Aaaaaagggggggh! It's HOT.

Laptop is overheating, so I'm going outside. Look out neighborhood, HERE COME DA BUTT!

In Maryland, might as well be walking around in a sauna. It's horrible.

We had a violent late afternoon thunderstorm here yesterday. Lightning started a few fires... but it prevented the heat index from getting up to 108F. Afterwards it was like a sauna.

Been storming here for more than an hour and it sounds GREAT. The rolling thunder sounds so peaceful. It's one of those rains that we need so badly, thank God. Slow, although it's not so steady. But it's hanging over us long enough to allow what rain that does fall to really soak into the ground. And hopefully it'll cool us doing and get some of the humidity out of the air. Not to mention that we are still around three inches below normal in our water levels.

It was hotter 'n Hell here yesterday. So hot it must have driven the insects... buggy!

I was lying on the futons last night around 12:30 AM looking through some things and one of the two fans I had going started making this weird sound. I got up and went over and turned it off and realized the sound was coming from outside: it was the cicadas tuning up for a midnight symphony. And the damned things kept getting louder and louder and louder.

That's the first time I can ever remember hearing them making that much noise in the middle of the night. Whole damned world's going crazy, it seems.
