Is the Arabic calligraphy original, or did you base it on something?

I scanned it from somewhere, used to know what it means, but I've forgotten since ( it's been 6 or 7 years since I made those illustrations ).

Thanks. I've been through a lot lately, drawing relaxes me... if anyone wants to see my rendition of some (simple) scene from the books, I'd be happy to make something

Sounds cool! I don't have any scenes in mind, but I like your style. Just make sure the chairdog doesn't bite when you sit down to draw. Seems like it would be painful.

I'd love to see anything more frankly, give me a sandworm, tri-jawed like Schoenherr always did them! Your work is great.

does a chairdog feel the need to pee in every corner of the room ?
Just a thought though, apart from that please show us more
Open your own thread I think it's well deserved ^^
EDIT TO ADD
do you draw scenery as well ?

Heard yelled from a Harkkonen kitchen during a dinner party:
"Abulurd?!?! Please stop the ottomandog from humping our guest's leg!!!"

Is that Cyrillic on the bottom of that picture? And that looks like a dead worm to me. Is that what it is?

would it represent the ritual death of a worm (to produce the Water of Life) ?
I always envisonned some form of mist/vapour reaction when putting water in the presence of the embodiement of the scorching desert.

Mmmm... but remember they used the stunted worms for that. And I'm thinking they did it indoors (inseals? insietch? ), so....

You don't think they'd give a sandworm a bath in the OPEN, do you?

Well... only if the book has "Kevin J. Anderson" on the cover.
(I was trying to be less direct and critical. You know how he gets if you criticize him too much. )

They did the drowning scene for the 1984 movie but of course it was cut.
It kind of reminded my of Hillbilly Handfishin'.

"The water of life... the water of life"
(Looking good Tleilaxative - worms are weird beasts to get your head around )

In the new movie they should have Les Stroud pee on it.
