Just picked up "Man of Two Worlds" (written with BoBo) and another copy of Destination: Void. DV looked brand new, and it was only $2...had to.

I would like to find a hard back copy of Destination: Void ... I do have the 1985 penguin books paperback in a rather good condition though ( because I bought it myself as a teenager in the late eighties).

I have been waiting to get ahold of The Jesus Incident, and the D:Void books, but they always seem to be checked out at the library. I'm thinking if Kindle has them, I may save up for a Kindle. I don't know at this point, they are pretty expensive, especially the DX.

Just for clarification, The Jesus Incident a D:Void series book - but I'm sure that's what you meant.

I highly recommend all four of them. Highly.

Yes, I meant 'and the other D:Void' books. :teasing-lurk:

As do I. They're good, but maybe not as strong as Dune. The world/universe in which it takes place just doesn't seem as fully realized as the Duniverse did, yet they are still worth a read if you can track them down. The Half-Price Books in this area will have paperback copies pop up pretty frequently...for some reason The Lazurus Effect seems to be the easiest to find. Destination: Void was a bit trickier...had to wait several months before I found that, and almost two years passed before I saw (and bought) another copy.

Whoa that would be creepy and rad. It does look like those anatomy pictures of the human muscular system.

hi ! :D

you mean the 1978 ed. isn'it ? based upon the calendar ?

cause the 1999 "new" illustrated ed (Gollancz) is really a f... crapy bull shiet :puke:
Sorry didnt respond earlier, I believe its the "new" but just any copy of the Illustrated version was wanted. If mine is the new one, I will work on getting the 1978 one. Its packed up in boxes at moment, will double check it.
Finally got a few boxes of books out of storage, got most the Dune Collection, and the illustrated dune I have is the 1978 edition. I still have a couple more boxes to go thru here at house to get all my DUNE in one place, then will photo the last few additions and post here.

:P That is much better than my KJA collection. (I've still got some second hand (second rate?) reference copies stashed somewhere).
I had one once, but like around the third chapter or something it just got so bad that i threw it out the window -- literally.

He usually did that.

Nice catch, man. Though I do cringe a bit when I see that pic of the futar.

Just concentrate on the Honoured Matre and you'll be fine.

Are you sure?
Chapterhouse: Dune wrote:
"I am called Sabanda." Clear young voice, still untouched by the pain of
probings.
"Would you like to watch us capture a weak male and enslave him?"
Great Honored Matre asked.
Sabanda knew the proper response to this. They had been warned. "I
will die first." She said it calmly, staring up at that ancient face the color
of a dried root left too long in the sun. Those odd orange flecks in the
crone's eyes. A sign of anger, Proctors had told her.
A loosely hung red-gold robe with black dragon figures down its open
face and red leotards beneath it only emphasized the scrawny figure they
covered.

Oops! My bad... the BG wore black or gray. Thanks for the correction:

"You give me no choice," Lucilla said. She undid the quick fasteners and
dropped her robe. She removed the small handgun from her bodice and tossed it
onto the settee. Her own leotard was light gray and she saw Sirafa making note
of this and of the knives in their leg sheaths.
"We sometimes wear black undergarments," Lucilla said as she slipped into the
dragon robe. The fabric looked heavy but felt light. She pivoted in it,
sensing the way it flared and fitted itself to her body almost as though it had
been made just for her. There was a rough spot at the neck. She reached up and
ran a finger along it.

Point being, that ain't no leotard in the cover art.
