Irulan's writings

seeing as PAUL Of DUNE is an inuniverse document, does this mean that in the future people will enjoy reading shit like that?

Is there something in the book itself mentioning poor sales? (If there is KJA'll put good sales in the next one)

Any thoughts on this?

I'm assuming The Basic Law of the Universe (half the population is below average intelligence) will still hold true (it has to, by definition ;) ), so ... yes.

Especially if the denizens of Dumb Novels all reproduce.

(Gawd, that's a thought to put ye off yer feed, what? :puke: )

Actually, I think they mention that the first volume of Irulan's life of Muad'Dib was wildly popular, or some such shit, so I assume that would mean sales were good.

It's a silly book, so don't waste too much time on it, OK? ;)

Exactly. Isn't it strange that the OH seems to have exponentially more conversation about the new books than the pretards do? It's almost like we let KJA win. I'm more into talking about Dune itself, the six books we all love.

Really? You would prefer we ignore them completely?

But of course.

So what's stopping you starting some fresh threads already?

Maybe that was his plan all along! He wanted the real DUNE fans to hate the new books so much that they wouldn't shut up about, creating all kinds of conversation with him as the focal point!

Shit. We're too late.

Hmm.. that is true. He has done an Intelligent Design and created an argument which legitimises the subject and allows idiots to fight well thought out reasoning with shitty baseless opinions.

Yeah, I'm sure he's that brilliant. ;)

I told Meritt in an email once that it was sad the way he had squandered his unearned
opportunity in the history of Dune - that he would most likely not even be a footnote to
the footnote of how Anderson had temporarily hijacked the trademark in the early 21st
century.

Maybe ByrByr is biding his time, thinking he'll be in control some day?

I wonder how the succession will be handled in the HLP after BriBri kicks off or gets put in the home for real...

Byron's the only writer in the bunch that I've heard tell of, but the three women (Kim and her two sisters) have direct claim to the name. None of the family seem to have the sense to have put the legacy and its purity above their desire for the almighty dollar.

Defectives, the lot of 'em.

Irulan as a writer is kinda self-loathing. Harq-al-ada kinda hates his mum and auntie.

These people. Must be a corrino trait.

Maybe the New books are supposed to reflect Irulan's books?

Right. It's like someone here once said: Byron is a sorry sack who, like a dog staring at his master eating at the dinner table, is waiting for whatever scraps are thrown his way.
