HBO Family has been airing Dune a lot recently. I tried to watch it, it was just too horrible.

I like it, but a couple things (ahem, weirding modules, I'm talking to you) really hurt me to see...

If you haven't, watch the interview with the costume designer in the special features. They explain how they spent six months designing hats for the Fremen.

I quite like the miniseries of Dune and Children of Dune. They're not perfect, but they're not a bad effort at all.

Well, I personally don't see how even the most skilled of designers could just whip out a hat
that cool.

I recorded it on my DVR from HBO the other night. I pretty much feel the same way. It actually hurts to watch, and yet i recorded it anyway. Why did they have to put "Dune" in the title. They know my weakness. I mean what retard records a movie he knows he hates for the simple reason its Dune (well..the title is Dune). Now we know how pinky and the brain still make money.

I can watch the Miniseries, but I'm not crazy about it. It was simply too ambitious. It did good for what it was, it just should have been a much bigger production. Now Hollywood seems determined to solve the budget problem, but forgot to include all the talent

The title of his site—DODGEBLOGIUM—what the fuck is that supposed to be? Does he think it's cool to create some kind of Latin-looking word by putting -blog+ium on the end of his name?
"...being musings from the castle of Andrew Ian Dodge"
Oh. Right.
And is that him in the header banner? Or the cancer, all growed up?
Dayum. I'm no Brad Pitt, but even I'm purdier than
that. What the hell must his wife look like?
