new idea for gun control

get rid of all guns, and everyone has to get drunk as soon as they get home from work!
Bad idea. I knew some MEAN drunks. They need to be kept as far away from intoxication beverages as humanly possible.

:naughty:

good point, mean drunks should have to live alone with only a large punching bag and some nyquil to wash down their dinner! sleep tight tuogh guy! lols! i need sleep

Now that is a GOOD idea!
You never see violent potheads. Fighting over the last slice of pizza is a worst case scenario.

"Those who hammer their guns into plows will plow for those who do not." ~Thomas Jefferson

FIREARMS REFRESHER COURSE

1. An armed man is a citizen. An unarmed man is a subject.

2. A gun in the hand is better than a cop on the phone.

3. Colt: The original point and click interface.

4. Gun control is not about guns; it's about control.

5. If guns are outlawed, can we use swords and IEDs?

6. If guns cause crime, then pencils cause misspelled words.

7. Free men do not ask permission to bear arms.

8. If you don't know your rights, you don't have any.

9. Those who trade liberty for security have neither.

10. The United States Constitution (c) 1791. All Rights Reserved.

11. What part of 'shall not be infringed' do you NOT understand?

12. The Second Amendment is in place in case the politicians ignore the others.

13. 64,999,987 firearms owners killed no one yesterday.

14. Guns have only two enemies; rust and politicians.

15. Know guns, know peace, know safety. No guns, no peace, no safety.

16. You don't shoot to kill; you shoot to stay alive.

17. 911: Government sponsored Dial-a-Prayer.

18. Assault is a behavior, not a device.

19. Criminals love gun control; it makes their jobs safer.

20. If guns cause crime, then matches cause arson.

21. Only a government that is afraid of its citizens tries to control them.

22. You have only the rights you are willing to fight for.

23. Enforce the gun control laws we ALREADY have; don't make more.

24. When you remove the people's right to bear arms, you create slaves.

25. The American Revolution would never have happened with gun control.

I suppose some of you have heard of the "Credit Card Bill of Rights" Congress is trying to pass...

One of the earmarks in it is to allow the carrying of loaded guns in national parks and wildlife refuges.

Even though the democrats have the majority, it seems Congress is very pro-gun, ATM.

Um... Isn't that bad for the wildlife refugees? :?

(I take it an earmark is similar to the paper clip effect in that Simpson's episode).

That depends on if the wildlife is trying to eat you or if you are trying to eat the wildlife.

Why do they want loaded guns in wildlife refuges, in general? I get that some wildlife is dangerous and a person might need to protect himself, but I don't think there is an overwhelming number of people being mauled by wildlife in national parks every year. I am a pro-gun redneck, btw, but the idea of a bunch of idiots running around with loaded guns scares me. Every year a bunch of dumbasses come down here to hunt and IMO most of them shouldn't be allowed near a gun.

That sounds fun. Do they ever shoot each other accidentally?

Yeah, now and then :D I stay out of the woods the first week of hunting season. I don't hunt anymore, anyway.

We could really get natural selection going again by sending all our money to the NRA.

Just curious, is there a tendancy for people (well, men) to associate gun-wielding with masculinity? Despite Freak's evidence to the contrary.

It's an obvious phallic symbol. So a woman with a gun is like a woman with a strap-on.

The question is, whos is bigger?

and pre-ripped, actually.

of course, only douchebags wear those.

i know i'm getting old when i see some teenager wearing those stupid pre-ripped jeans and point them out saying "your jeans have holes in them" and receive an incredulous eye-rolling
I tell them, "Hey, you dropped your pocket!" It's amazing how many will actually stop, turn around and look on the ground.

Obesity takes resources away from your fellow man. They consume more food than they need, drive healthcare costs up and it takes more fuel to carry their asses around in SUVs. Same thing as killing someone, just much slower. Either way you're stealing someone's energy.

I've decided I just don't like this on the fence BS when it comes to gun control. Either we should ban all guns entirely, or we should allow full access. Who has the right to say that I can own a handgun but not carry it around in my coat? Who has the right to tell me I can't own a fully automatic? Or a semi-auto shotgun? And carry those around openly.

I don't know what this nonsense we're (US&Canada) doing right now is all about.
