Dune Doctors

We all know that FH started the Dune stories by thinking about dune erosion as an outline for the Duniverse(sounds better than a stained floppy disk from who knows where).
In fact this does mean something to me as I live in the south west of France and very close to the Atlantic coast, specifically the Landes area:

We also have the highest dune in Europe(the Dune du Pyla/Pilat)

Dune erosion has always been a problem as they slowly eat away on the mainland, in my lifetime I have seen the changes; so it's slow but it's there(no sand trouts though that's a breather!)

To fight this local authorities have been using a variety of plants for their roots can stabilize the advance of the sand.

But what wasn't my surprise to stumble on that website:

Amazing!

The FAQ's a giggle, they do like their Turtles.
When is the best time to have new sand brought in?
Anytime except turtle nesting season.

When is turtle nesting season?
Turtle nesting season begins the first of May and runs through the end of October.

When can sand fencing be installed?
Anytime except turtle nesting season.
I think it's really a code word for Trout.
