I just found out about these through tha new 'n improved DN. BH did an introduction for each of them apparently. Does anybody have these, or could post them? I'd be particularly interested to read the GEoD one.

Have you seen that the Children of Dune cover is printed upside-down? It's more of that wonderful quality-control from the HLP and Tor/McMillen.

BoBo doing an introduction is reason enough for me to NEVER buy one.

My thoughts exactly. And being a hardcover it would probably make quite a dent in the wall.

I think that was the thing that finally got my wife to understand just how stupid they all are. Since then she's understood why I spend so much time here.

Absolutely, nothing new in the introductions I read while browsing in the store. In fact, the introductions were so bland they were a prime example just how much Bobo doesn't understand Dune. If I remember correctly, I think he referred to Dune as the big ecology adventure or something equally trivial.

(What always got me is how Bobo always waves the ecology card when refering to Dune, but never offers anything deeper. Otherwords, he refers to Dune with a catch phrase he picked up from a reviewer rather than offering anything insightful for someone who tried to present himself as Frank's heir with all the secret notes or sat in on all those meaningful Thanksgiving dinners.)
