We've been talking about Jodoroswky because of his involvment in that aborted Dune crazy project, but do you know about his work with graphic artist Moebius and their Incal series?

But the comics are far more complex(as usual)
There you find for example the double figure male/female of the Emperor that was meant to be in his Dune scenario.

One quite funny coincidence:
the name of the alien race that gives the Incal to the hero John Difool are called... the BERGS

I remember reading them as a kid, and just like Dune you know there is hidden meanings and symbolism you'll understand later, making it an endless source of knowledge and pleasure.

That was a very interesting trailer, such a shame that the VHS transfer was so ropey. Cheers.

The film seems far too "'80s visual-drug porn" for my taste, especially with the He-Man Futar cat-man. But I might check out the comic sometime, especially the updated American re-color, which appeals to me more than the original. It's just too dated-looking and makes me think of a series canceled two issues in.

This looks really interesting. Saw this topic last night and downloaded L'Incal right away. Unfortunately, it's the edited version but it was all I could find.

I had no idea sci-fi comics were Jodorovski's thing. I always just thought he was a crazy Franchman who thought he could direct Dune.

this guy is crazier than Lynch(which is already a bit nuts)
but he has a very interesting world, P.K Dick meets Castaneda kind of stuff, very mystical but with a lot of SciFi references

I luckily even met Moebius in person here in Poland. He autographed his 3 Dune drawings
