1 boob ah-ah-aaaah, 2 boobs, ah-ah-aaaah, etc.

Uhm, how about Blade Runner? To me it's one of the best movies ever.

Also, the original Total Recall isn't that bad.

Then again, both these are just "loosely" based on Phillip K Dick novels.

A Scanner Darkly was pretty good, I thought.

wasn't the adjustment bureau based on a PKD book? the movie was ok, little sappy, but watchable.

Prometheus tomorrow morning at 10am!

Whether I would go see the Blade Runner sequel will depend on how good Prometheus is. I'm hopeful.

Friends with original BR art director David L. Snyder. Such a project could be great if they enlist the original talents.

The film will depend on the script. The only flaw with Prometheus us the script. If someone writes him some good words it will be good.

Well, as far as we know, original Runner scribe Hampton Fancher is hard at work on a script, and Scott wants Harrison Ford to return to the universe in some capacity.

I didn't see A Scanner Darkly. I'm just tired of them taking them and making them into summer blockbusters that suck.

Minority Report is one of his best, and they Cruise'd it. I refuse to watch Paycheck, which was probably my favorite PKD short story. I think if you are making a movie, even an official adaptation, and you change the ending or the major plot twist, you should have to change the name of the movie as well.

I liked Screamers, even if it was loosely based off a tangent from a short story. I didn't like Blade Runner until I got older.

I liked Scanner but I haven't read the book to compare.

It's a good faithful adaptation. IIRC virtually all of it is straight out of the book.

(And it failed to recoup it's tiny budget... :) :? )

MAD MAX: FURY ROAD Now Shooting In Namibia, But No Longer Shooting In 3D

by Todd Brown, June 28, 2012 1:35 PM

Director George Miller has finally begun production the long delayed Mad Max: Fury Road, with production shifted to Namibia from Australia, but not without one final change.

Miller was very clear from the outset that his intention was to shoot Fury Road - and presumably back-to-back effort Furiosa, as well - in 3D with customs rigs being developed for the shoot by Dalsa Corporation. Those plans have now been shelved and while the film will still be screened in 3D it will no longer be shot that way. The production has instead shifted to a blend of Alexa digital cameras with Canon and Olympus DSLRs being used in situations where they might (read: will) be smashed.

Tom Hardy and a shaven headed Charlize Theron star.
