I'm back and well...
a quick note to say hell to my fellow Cast Outs, I'm now working for that video game company in london, I found a decent and cheap room 10 min. by train to Liverpool St so a total commuting of 1/2h from my bed to my chair
Now I'm back in London I can start hunting for those SF second hand bookshops and rebuild a small collection...
My computer broke down so i connect at work!
anyway the job is cool and thing are a bit on the upside, which is a change and a good one at that!
Cheers!

Best of luck to you and make sure good games are made. There's enough crap smothering the market

And yes I have, my parents live there. Very nice place. Over the bay they live in you can watch it rain on Washington.

Anyway thanks for your support, I know the pay is not great but who gets paid to go through an online game in days when the average player would need years?
I don't mind getting up in the morning for work and to me it's more important
nb: any news from sandrider anyone? Did he rob a bank and run away in the desert or did he stop paying his isp bills?

Re: I'm back and well...
please don't mention pinky or/and the brain on my topic about what's great in my life at the moment, it kinda spoils the fun
but yeah I did land on my feet this time, an easy job, a loving girlfriend(still in France though), a nice house with cats(that crap in my room, maybe a feline welcome tradition?) and a broadband connection at home too!
Things could be worse(hell they have been worse!!)

nope
and I did ask I am allowed to say the name: it was not far off the mark as it is FF XI
(but I'm not sure what more I can say about it, confidentiality agreement and all that...)

Re: I'm back and well...
Ah, cool. I played that for about two years before I finally quit...I think it would be safe to say that I was full-on addicted to it.
I haven't kept up with all the changes they've (you've...?) made since then, but it was a good MMO and I'm sure it continues to be.
Keep it up, Lotek- I think it's cool to have someone here that works for my favorite video game company! Can't wait until FFXIII comes out this summer!

Re: I'm back and well...
right new news, the company has decided to move our offices in EC2 to...
... Wimbledon of all places...
It should happem only in may/june next year(but then again it was not supposed to happen at all so what can you do?)
Shame since I was quite liking to live close to the town center in a friendly house share, but forest gate will be definitely too far to commute so I'll consider moving (again) to an area closer to work...
Bollocks!
