New Year Resolutions

Okay Guys and Gals. I was speaking with a good friend on Worm's and he had an interesting idea in my opinion. New Year Resolutions. I put this thread up over there and then decided it might would be interesting to see what some of you come up with.
Some people make them, a lot of people break 'em. And most just plain forget them. So shall we try our own little 'experiment' and see who actually keeps them this year...or at least how long they last.

We all know the words. The little promises we make to ourselves for the coming new year. The one (or ones) we swear we will adhere to this year. Shall we name them here and return at the near the end of 2010 and see how many we actually kept.

Let's have some fun. Name your resolutions, rather it be one, two, or more. You don't have to name all of them of course. And if you don't make resolutions each year, let us hear that too. Why or why not?

I'll even be the brave one and start it off.

1. Spend more time w/my children and my husband.
2. Get better organize.
3. Study my Bible more.
Okay my fellow Jac's -- your turn.

My resolutions for this year are a bit corny:

- appreciate the people in my life more and stop taking them for granted;
- spend more time with my family. My parents won't be around forever;
- stop being so self-centred. I think this is the one I'll be breaking LOL.

- Finish the 12th grade and not have to take another step into that school, night or otherwise;
- Quit being a coward about making big decisions and postponing them;
- Not laying back so much and do my best to plan my future, including preparations to leave the country;
- Be as good a friend as possible and some;
- Make up for the years i wasted out of pure stupidity.
- Be a better son.

Good luck with them, Sloey, although the porn resolution won't work. Once you get past those parental locks on your computer, a whole world on online depravity will open itself up before your very eyes. Even now I see things online now and again and think Hmm, why haven't we tried that? :lol:

That;s more like it!

I've learnt that family is important over this past year after my boyfriend's dad passed away. Not that I was particularly sorry about that LOL. I know you shouldn't speak ill of the dead, but he was an old arsehole who caused nothing but pain and upset for Luke. I only met him a couple of times and I don't know what he had problems coping with the most - the fact his son was shacked up with another guy or that his son was shacked up with a mixed race guy. :lol: Luke's mum's an angel, God knows what she ever saw in his dad.

(I don't do the resolutions thing anymore, btw.)

Too bad Luke's dad had to up and die leaving that for Luke to deal with.

I don't do resolutions either, unless they are weight related. Like, "I'm gonna lose 25 pounds." this year Im too damn lazy to say that, but I have been running more and I am building a basketball court out back for me and the boy.

My resolution is to not do anything that will give the powers-that-be in The College of Education cause to jerk me around while I student teach.

my news years resolution is basically "simply my life",

1. Get divorce done with EX (filed, finances, etc)
2. Get Finances streamlined
3. Get moved into own place
4. Close ties with ex Girlfriend (dont ask it would take to long to explain)
5. Spend more time with son and daughters

More obviously, 2009 had to be the most complicated year of my life to date, and I will do my best to forget it.

Onward and upward to Clarke's year!!!

Talk about causing as much sorrow dead as when the old shit was alive.

Aren't you around 8 feet tall? :lol: Would 25 pounds make much difference?

Women fall in love with the idea of the potential man you could be, not the actual person. Then when they have hammered you into something completely different from what they hoped for, they don't love you anymore.

Four days into my resolution, and I haven't cracked! Woo-hoo! My parents are technology idiots, so I can disable the one block that they put up with ease. There is some extremely bizarre stuff on there, with the she-males, midgets, amputees, people covered in vomit, et cetera. Any favorites?? PM me!! I need the temptation! Yo, and none o' that gay stuff... no offense intended.

P.S - I still maintain that I am not Sole Man.

Amazing ... I could swear I've heard something remarkably similar recently. :lol:

My 2009 resolution was to write the date as zoog for an entire year. Which I actually managed to keep for once.

I get the feeling I should be a bit more ambitious this year.

:lol: You should write a book and sell it to newlyweds. Maybe CombOver will co-author it for you.

This time of year is always a nightmare in the gym. You can't train properly because of the influx of fatties hogging all the equipment :lol: Oh well, in a couple of weeks they won't be seen again.
