Anyone watch this show? If so, what do you think? Trust me, if you do not know what this show you are missing a major cultural development, but, being old, you will dismiss it as stupid. BEST SHOW EVER!! LOOK IT UP!!

I don't care what age I am, this show would always be stupid. those people are retarded. I can't remember a time when I found people that were more worthless than that lot. according to the legal definition of pornography in the U.S. this show qualifies and there isn't even a happy ending.

give the old Jerry Springer audience some cheap beer, bath-tub crank, and
a hand held video camera, turn them loose on the street, send them all
text messages saying they're all sleeping with each others' boyfriends/girlfriends,
and .... there you are.

can't beat Jerry the man!
I have been a cleaner in a rest home a while ago(bear with me here)and I used to take an unauthorized break watching the Springer Show with that old lady, she got someone to watch TV with and I got to add that extra time on my pay slip

Which explains my unnatural fondness for Jerry :)

But I have never seen that jersey thingy
... google ...

awkay another of those reality shows that have as much in common with reality than KJA has with creativity, scripted and edited for entertainement purposes only of course :)

TV Guide called it " the greatest comedy ever to be called a serious reality TV show." So true. Essentially, if you want to see retarded, big-haired, fist-pumping, steroid-taking, loud-mouthed Italian people from Jersey beating each other up/ fucking each other, then watch this show....And I'm amazed that after only nine episodes of the show, everyone on earth seems to know about it... even y'all!

(Oh yeah, I agree that Springer is bloody brilliant.)

Never heard of this before this thread. The Jersey Shore has always been a place.

ALL reality TV is comedy ... just not everyone is laughing at the same joke.
if you want to see retarded, big-haired, fist-pumping, steroid-taking, loud-mouthed Italian people from Jersey beating each other up/ fucking each other, then watch this show
This one sentence tells me everything I would ever want to know about this show and (ahem) its viewer demographic.

and FAKE.

as a joke (years ago) I called the 800 number that show gives out and told them a buddy of mine (mike) had just gotten out of prison and was having a terrible time coping with seperation from his prison lover... MIKE TYSON. i left both my friends number and my own and forgot about it until the next day when mike calles me up and asks why jerry springer wants to talk about him and mike tyson (hed never even been to prison). I filled him in on my silly prank and thought that was the end of it until i had producers calling me back for weeks trying to get me to have my friend come on air. finally i got sick of the calls and told them it was all made up. the producer i was talking to said that he had a feeling, but wondered of we might still be interested in coming down and going on air anyway. though i thought it might be fun, i couldnt get mike to do it, and it never went down. but when it was all said and done i was left with a new enlightenment as to where THOSE PEOPLE come from.

those people on jersey shore however, are very real and should be stopped at all costs. these buffed-up, orange, seafood-eating douchebags have lived as a semi-major societal-nuisance for years, but the stink of jersey has kept the masses fairly distant from any prolonged exposure to their stupidity and sociopathic violence, and now these bastards are on television and everyone LOVES it.
i dont get why this crap is just now blowing up though... its the same thing as all those spring break program mtv shows where they follow the binging knuckledraggers from bed to the clubs and back again, only the tans on jersey shore are more likely to come out of tubes than real sun...

bad show.

folks, do the world a favor. if your kids remind you in any way of the pricks on jersey shore, euthanize them in their sleep.

SC- Yeah I know, my descriptive sentences and mastery of the language are reminiscent of Shakespeare and James Joyce. :D

Here is an article which gives you a good idea of the show:

Reality shows have always been pretty painful for me to watch, especially because my younger sister takes them seriously. :puke:

Not interested.

Okay, I've now had the chance to watch 5 mins or so of this steaming pile of shite, how is this a major cultural development? A bunch of whores and steroid abusing lobotomy experiments screaming and fighting, who cares. Wormyboy if you see this a development then you must live in the most hellishly deprived corner of Zimbabwe. Good luck.

:) :) I was thinking that that was the development form his present situation, that being analogous to Zimbabwe. And for the record the only reason I choose that country was due to them being the poorest countries in the world, with a GDP of $268.

The inflation there kills them. And I believe Somalia and Sierra Leone are poorer.

That the may be, hence why I wrote "one of the poorest". But let's sidestep your avoidance here. What worth are you seeing in this programme, will you admit it's a purely voyeuristic pleasure that reinforces your own self-worth. There is nothing to be ashamed of in seeking validation.
