I watched the first half of the pilot. I liked it.
Paul of Dune was so bad it gave me a seizure that dislocated both of my shoulders and prolapsed my anus.

I prefer a Brunello - to be honest.
Do not be quick to reveal judgment. Hidden judgment is often more potent. It can guide reaction whose effects are felt only when too late to divert them.

I'll be watching it. The pilot was better than I thought it would be.

Sorry, gonna pass. If I saw Ronald Moore in the street, I'd aim my car at him.

And I'd pull him out of the way...only after he admitted that yes, Gaeta was a Cylon.

Re: Caprica
I already saw it when it premiered on HULU. Whole pilot was interesting. I did not know they had split it up... I liked it. I think it's a bit of a weak start, though, because it's all radical event to event to event... The churning in the middle isn't all that great, but the idea is great. I like the idea and the plot, I just don't like the convenient turn-arounds, and constant Ret-Cons.

I also really enjoyed the pilot.
I also don't share Duke's hatred of Ron Moore. Then again, I only started watching BSG with S3...

Looking forward to it BIGTIME. I have the DVD of the pilot, so I skipped last week's premier. Can't wait for new eps. My only hope is they keep the overall story shortish, sort of like Rome. I don't think this story can sustain a long run.
Poop is funny.

Re: Caprica
exactly, that's what went wrong with BSG - really, really good, then they had to keep making
up bullshit too quickly to fill the contracted episodes.
we'll see here if Ron Moore has learned anything about making important television,
or if he is, in fact, as the Dukester believes, a total shitheel ....

this weeks episode was a let down from the two hour DVD. I hope it picks back up and doesnt end up like SGU where it takes 9 episodes to get going.

Re: Caprica
I will admit the girl going to her teachers house, and them introducing the group marriage concept got my attention:)
I just felt stalled with his daughter trapped in the robot and waiting for her to decide what to do. Her father was sitting around trying to figure out how to make his robot work for the other 100k he needed. The mother walked around trying "get to know" her daughter, playing (not very well acted) the innocent to her daughters past. The mafia guy was even boring.. he stabs to death in a ritualistic type killing a high government official in movie, here he pass's pearls of low wisdom to "Bill" and throws a trash can threw a window. :::yawn:::
His daughter should have gone insane and killed everyone in the factory and programmed all the cylons in the factory and took over. Their should have been a running gun battle to the spaceport as the cylons try and escape the planet. Oh....wait I guess the cylons have to be "enslaved" first, then revolt against their masters.
Does that mean we will have 10 episode building up the cylons slavery? watching them make friends with the One god movement?
Probably... but then we get the cylons running gun fight to space port right!!!
