I am correct that pants (pantaLOONS ) means trousers? The thought alone of going commando in Winter is enough to make my manhood Atrophy.SandChigger wrote:Look who's talking.
Please wear pants when coming here. (Aren't you cold? )
and me cold, never since my laudanum overdose.

Yes. Interesting divergence in the language, no?
The Japanese borrowed the word to mean "underwear" as well: pantsu (native: shita-gi "under-wear"). "Trousers", or what I call "pants", is correctly zubon.
Except in one word for jeans, usually just jiinzu but sometimes referred to as...jii-pan.
Humanum esse loqui est.

I wonder what the gringos ever did to earn that reputation...Notably, in Chile the act of not wearing underwear has been called "andar a lo gringo" ("go about as the Americans") for decades.
BTW, I'm not wearing anything right now, does it make you lot hot like the Wikipedia article said it should?
In memory of Perach, who suffered and died needlessly.
I wish I could have been with you that one last time.
