I guess people in the US can watch it but they're blocked in the UK...

I think it's more about copyrights, Black Books being a UK Ch.4 show, they probably don't want UK viewers to watch even just 40s of one episode...
to coerce you into buying the dvds...

or register at megavideo...

A few months back I watched the entire series legally for free online on 4od :P


(Which series was that clip from - series 2 and 3 are still available in their entirety on the channel 4 site... so much for the dvd theory.)

Perhaps they think, correctly, that youtub stinks. If they're controlling the delivery they can ensure a less laggy watching experience.
