As from yesterday I am an uncle!!
My brother's wife gave birth to a baby daughter, Lena
And now I understand how people can find babies pretty; the closer they are to you the prettier you think they are!
Can't wait to see her and give her her first Dune copy in advance!!

Right. Evolution wants you to help protect as many copies as possible of any shared genes in relatives' babies and wired those feelings into your brain so you don't eat them.

Unfortunately my dad is not there anymore to see all this, but to me he lives as pearls of awareness in his descendants

Congratulations Lotek! I am an uncle since september 2007 and with no children of my own (as far as I know) he is the closest relative who I will introduce to the great world of Dune when he starts reading.
