I don't know about you guys, but I'm going to follow this religiously all night. Landing expected at 1.31 am EDT, and then it seems like it would take a couple of hours to see the first photos from the surface.
What do you think? Will we spot any worms this time?

No worms, but I'm hoping to see a three breasted hooker.

Just make sure she doesn't have a mutant on her belly.

Ok i`m watching the streaming and i noticed that there are a lot of women in NASA. There was one girl who was really pretty btw. Also, i think i saw Larry David celebrating there.

All images will end up here:

But it will take a day or two before we see any juicy panorama pics in color.

This is pretty spectacular: One of the orbiters took a picture of the lander as it was descending with the parachute.

Where there are worms, there's always spice.
Always ?
Always.

WE'RE ON MARS!
I watched some of the post touchdown livestream, in fact I think I joined it 5 seconds after it landed considering how long it took them to calm down enough to continue the press conference.
I really think NASA should consider an early settlement program trying to create a human-sustainable habitat on Mars and not worry about bringing the people back. I wouldn't doubt that there would be no shortage of volunteers even knowing it was a more than likely a one way trip.

What is that? A Lynchian heart-plug?

I was wondering, too. I'm thinking it's something from a video game.
