The forum was off line for a long time this evening, all I could get was a Warning-error message, I even e-mailed teszler asking him if he knew anything.

I'm glad the forum is back again.

I posted about this elsewhere. The entire building went down where the servers for this place, T(A)U and the book review pages are hosted.

i'd like to refine that. you could eat a WHOLE unicorn if you had to and had enough people, but while portions of the hyppo could be eaten (with nasty side-effects to be sure) the entirety could not.

I've personally had no problems with her but if it's true that she opened private e-mails, then she deserves every bit of this. They are called "PMs" for a reason. It's a different story when the person says "hey, anything you send me is fair game", at least there was a disclaimer but just rooting through people's mail because you can deserves the harshest reaction.

It wasn't a PM she opened, but an email to the owner of Arrakeen.

No it wasn't addressed to her. I think it's worse that it was an email, and not a PM.

I agree. She appears to have stepped over a dearly held social line and is paying the consequences.

The reason I rag on Hyppo is because she claimed someone had complained about a picture of Britney Spears I had in my sig on Arrakeen, when that person had actually been joking with me about it on the forum. That person hadn't complained, Hyppo was lying. The issue I have is that by doing that, she made it look like that person was two faced and liar themselves, but she is too spineless to admit she lied.
