Worse than I thought
Well, I started.
I just finished the first chapter of PoD and fear it's going to take me a while to finish, which is unusual for me to put down a book so quickly. It is completely uninspiring and I found myself losing interest after a few pages. Oh well, I won't be getting my notes up tomorrow as I'd hoped. At this pace I'll be lucky if I can finish it in the next week.
I thought I'd at least get into bashing it while taking notes. I'm just not in the right mood. I can't believe that anyone would say that this is their best work yet. I'll keep you posted.
I may just go read one of the new Star Wars books instead.

most are by Karen Traviss, who by all accounts is as bad or worse than KJA. She also is the coiner of the term "talifan".
Stick with PoD. I'm reading it because after this, it will be impossible to read a crappier book. You know, until Jessica comes out.
I love reading their squirming replies to the OH community.

I fear for your sanity now!Sole Man wrote:I fear for what might happen to my insanity after reading PoD
If you read PoD, do it in a padded cell in a straight jacket.
Paul of Dune was so bad it gave me a seizure that dislocated both of my shoulders and prolapsed my anus.

Dare I read the young paul sections? from page turning and the hints they give they sound like garbage. Paul gets attacked by giant catapillars...
WTF is up with Kevin's super-weapon/monster fetish. Maybe if we promise to buy him one of those mechanical dildo's and a bunch of hentai he'll agree to leave Dune alone.

Um, that will probably only fuel his desire.Ampoliros wrote:Dare I read the young paul sections? from page turning and the hints they give they sound like garbage. Paul gets attacked by giant catapillars...

I actually did consider only reading it in the bathroom just because that's where it belongs.SandChigger wrote:How about seven intallments, one for each section of the book?
(In this case, "installment" refers to your metaphysical location while reading: in the shitter.)
I like my bathroom clean though.
