Misunderstanding Dune, that sounds familiar... (and why is fictional in inverted commas?)
He seems to be equating "Landsraad" with "Duniverse".
(To distinguish it from the 'real' universe, maybe? :D )

'Rider, are you in one of those "things for cattle" today? :P

I thought that was kind of funny too. Like calling the USA "Congress".

What's his problem with putting spaces after punctuation?

Yeah, I kinda wondered about that one, too.

Does Word automatically insert spaces after your punctuation? If so, maybe he's more used to writing in Word and has lazily adapted to it?

One of the first against the wall when the Butlerians come.

I use Word 07, but no such function exists as far as I know. It is certainly not a default function.

(By the way in my previous post I was being sarcastic  )

And the French often put spaces before (final) punctuation, right?

He looks to be a thirty-something in his pic on Facebook, but the surname is definitely Eastern European of some sort. Maybe he's an immigrant then.

Which would fit in perfectly with my observation that native English speakers with poor language skills and non-natives tend to like the McDune books A LOT.

(Come on, TAZbert, PROVE me wrong! )
